My Web Host: A Biased Review

My Review of HostMonster

I have used HostMonster for almost 3 years now and I have had nothing but success with this host. As to how it compares to other hosting companies I can’t really say as this is the only host I have used. I have not had any reason to look elsewhere and I am not going to do what a lot of sites do and review a product I have not used based on what others are saying.

HostMonster offers unlimited web hosting, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domains, and unlimited email accounts for a very competitive rate. Your first domain name is free. There are many more features listed below for you to check out but I want to tell you about my experience with HostMonster.

One, the C-panel is very easy to navigate. Below is a partial screen shot that has most of the features that I use.

You can see above the FTP, Domain Manager and Simple Scripts. These are undoubtedly the most used by newbies such as me. You can purchase your domain name in Domain Manager and using simple scripts you can have a WordPress blog up and running less that 10 minutes.

Two, I have never had any downtime issues and the one time I screwed up a website I was working on customer service responded rapidly and fixed it for me. They have many more tools than the average person will ever use but they are available for the advanced user.

I tried to think of a downside with them but they really haven’t given me anything to complain about. You can find less expensive hosting but the cheapest I have seen is only $2 less per month. I highly recommend using HostMonster for your web hosting.
