This looks like a reaction to many complaints that the selling of digital items is used to manipulate feedback. Buy selling very low cost items a seller is able to get there seller feedback numbers up fairly rapidly. But to ban digital items to the classifieds? This effects much more than just e-books. Why couldn’t They just demand a higher minimum price like $5.00. Ah, no use complaining it is what it is but this will certainly thin out the sellers. The first thing you need to know is that you have to have a different account for each project that you undertake. If you already have a paypal account for ebay and want to use ebay for your website you will have to create another paypal account. Creating an account is free but to do so you must first create another email address. I suggest that you use part or all of the business or product name you plan to promote. For examples WidgetsGalore@FirstLove.com. Please don’t click the link. It does not work.

Once you have your email account set up simply go to PayPal and sign up for a new account. Choose premier as this will allow you to accept credit cards. It is free as well. You can download this instruction guide which I got from PayPal to learn how to set up your product or products for sale. It is a bit boring but read it all before proceeding to set up your product or products. The technical skill required depends on what you what to do and how much security for your products you want to have. The good thing about Paypal is that a newbie can have everything set up within a few hours.

I can not honestly give you a comparison between having a merchant account and a PayPal account. I don’t have any merchant accounts. So far Paypal has been able to satisfy my needs. I hope this has helped. Set up your email first and then read the instruction guide before signing up with Paypal and your set up should proceed without a hitch.

I originally thought that making money on the internet would be a  very easy task to accomplish. I soon found out that I had a lot to learn. So I spent money on this book and that book but without the underline base of knowledge I was overloaded with information I just couldn’t assimilate. After three weeks of gathering information and still not knowing how to get started I found something called a membership site.

I joined immediately and am now in my fifth week with Wealthy Affiliates. They have an eight week training program for newbies like me. A forum where you can post questions and receive advise from long term members and the owners are easily accessible through the forum and email.

Well I completed the  first weeks lesson and decided to get started right away. I choose to run an adwords campaign for a product I won’t mention here. I choose a large group of keywords. Within 5 days I had spent $125.00 with zero sales. I shut that campaign down.

I went back to wealthy affiliates and finished the week 2 lesson. I then went back to my adword campaign and narrowed my keywords down to 5 very narrowly targeted keywords. I don’t get a lot of hits but it is converting into a sale at a 5% clip. Not bad but with the money I am able to risk this will take forever before I can quit my day job.

I have now completed four weeks of training and had my first $200 week last week. I am now working on this site which is a little different than most and probably looks amateurish because I am an amateur. I have learned to use wordpress to some extent. I am going to try and get adsense and affiliate income from here. Don’t be bashful! Click my links!

One of the things Auction Yen will do is collect the data from the Want It Now postings. It will then analyze the data and provide you with the keywords ranked by the number of hits. This will provide you with products you can either make or purchase to sell. Frankly, this seems like to much work to me for the profit involved. There is another use for these keywords that to me make more sense. You can identify a niche that you may have some succes in.

I would not recommend Auction Yen for the beginning eBayer. If you have some experience with eBay and are simply looking for information this software will help you.
