eBay Ban’s Digital Items, Goodbye Cheap E-Books
“Yesterday there was a big announcement at eBay about “digital goods” which includes ebooks. This is sure to get a lot of people upset. Here is the link to the announcement.
This looks like a reaction to many complaints that the selling of digital items is used to manipulate feedback. Buy selling very low cost items a seller is able to get there seller feedback numbers up fairly rapidly. But to ban digital items to the classifieds? This effects much more than just e-books. All of these will also be effected:
Why couldn’t They just demand a higher minimum price like $5.00. Ah, no use complaining it is what it is but this will certainly thin out the sellers. If you are selling digital items on eBay you will have to make a decision. You can continue to sell these items through eBay’s classified ads or you can put them on disk and continue to sell as always except now you have to do some work. One other option which I think a lot of the smaller vendors will choose is to leave eBay.
