Hi all, If you are reading this my guess is your either trying your hand at earning some money online or your seriously thinking about it. I know the secret to making money online but before I let you in on it I think I ought to tell you a little bit about myself. I don’t want you to think I am making something up. In truth, i can’t tell you exactly what drove me to the internet as a source of income. 2 years ago I didn’t know a thing about websites or marketing but I knew I wanted something different. While I enjoy my day job I don’t want to do it forever. I suppose that several things about the internet actually convinced me to try making money online.

Maybe the most important reason for me was that I didn’t have to spend a lot of money to get started and I could learn at my own pace. Notice I said I didn’t have to spend a lot of money. Well I went and spent a lot on ebooks promising the road to riches and even joined a membership site for a while. So much for not spending money. While I did learn from each of them, everything I learned can be had for free if you search for it.

So what did I do? Well I rapidly went out and got 20 domain names and proceded to build 20 websites. Boy was I having fun but unfortunately I wasn’t making a dime. So I thought to myself these sites just need more content. Still no traffic. Ok, maybe I just need to build some links. So I started working on links. With all this work I was averaging a whopping $40 per month. But don’t get discouraged by my story, It’s not over.

Most people would have given up by now but I can be a bit stubborn at times. I decided to pick one of the websites I had built and concentrate all my efforts on it. I choose one that I really liked the subject matter which made it easy to create content. For the next six months it was the only one I worked on (I only have 10 hours a week to work on it). And gues what, I got results. I have 23 keywords on the first page of google and 3 keywords that are either number 1 or 2 on both google and yahoo. Needless to say I now have a lot of visitors and a steady income from this site.

The site above all by itself is not enough for me to quit my day job. But let’s say you make a website that makes you $300 a month. You do the same thing with 10 more sites and now you have $3300 a month. Add 10 more and …. you see where I am going here.

Ok, time for that big secret! The big secret is:

Work

I believe that 99% of the people that try to make money online fail and they do so because they won’t do the work needed to succeed. They are looking for the easy road to riches that so many marketers promote and when it turns out to be not so easy they quit or move on to the next program promising easy riches.

The sad truth is almost any program will work if you work at it. Learn from your failures and your success. Be willing to work at it until you get it right and you can and will succeed,
